What kind of woman do you want to be? {part two}

"For me, writing from the heart - the way I'm doing right now - is something I always did and will continue to do so. Because that's the kind of woman I intend to stay."  ~ Maureen

I always say that living in New York City has thought me to Own My Story.

Well, the part of owning your story and sharing it with others online - to inspire or empower - also means that you need to be vulnerable. I'm okay with this part.

Because these past few weeks (since we are in this global pandemic due to the Corona virus), life as we knew it has shifted for all of us. It has made me realize even more how precious our freedom, our lifestyles and our health is. And feeling vulnerable is what we all are feeling to a certain extent. Nobody knows how long this situation really will go on.

One hour ago, I wrote a question on Instagram "What kind of woman do you want to be?" but I wanted to share this topic with all my readers - through this email and on the blog. Perhaps by reading it once or twice, it will make you think about owning your story.

It's a question I've been asking myself & my readers, since I wrote this blogpost {part one} back in December 2017. Many of you wrote back to me, that this question had made you think. Now, reading it again in 2020, it's funny that the answers I gave to myself - who I wanted to become and who I wanted to stay - are really a part of who I am today. Well, except the 'going to yoga' part...

It's a multi layered question.
No easy answers. No right or wrong.
It simply requires honesty.

And maybe, because of the virus and all the changes we are going through, your answer to this question might be different than say, two months ago.

So perhaps now is a good time to lean into more silence & ask yourself:

what is it you really want to do in your life? what do you need to let go - certain emotions, persons, habits? what do you need to work on? What kind of woman do you really want to be?

Only you will know.

But I do hope you will think about this question.
And I hope you will find her. Your future self.

The kind of woman you want to be.

Stay healthy.
Stay creative.
Enjoy today.

Maureen
