Happy new year everyone!
The first week of this new year has flown by and the first snow of 2017 has landed here in New York. The freezing cold temperatures made me stay more indoors this weekend to read and write while drinking coffee in the morning and multiple cups of tea in the afternoon. Also, I'm happy to hear from some of you that you enjoyed getting the newsletters - thanks for your feedback!

Samantha and I met a couple of weeks ago for coffee and we had an immediate click while talking all things New York, illustrations and social media. I like meeting people through Instagram and when they are even sweeter and funnier in real life, like Samantha, that makes it even better. On social media, Samantha daily shares her hugely popular detailed illustrations - which she creates in her journals - while enjoying her coffee in one of the many coffeeshops New York has to offer.
She caught my eye when she started drawing her '30 days of drinks'. So, the first time she announced on social media that she designed a poster out of her creations, more than 7 thousand people liked that idea! And, as a coffee and tea lover plus big fan of everything handmade, I ordered my copy just in time, phew!
You can imagine how big my smile was, when Samantha generously offered to donate not one, but two of her posters to my readers!
